Jim Crittenden has 20 years of experience working in substance abuse prevention, intervention
services, and youth development. The majority of his experience has been in the field of substance abuse prevention. For the last 10 years, he’s worked as a Project Specialist for the San Diego County Office of Education where he assists school districts in developing comprehensive prevention plans and the implementation of research based curriculum. Prior experience has included managing a community coalition funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. In that role, he assisted neighborhoods in prevention planning, developing environmental prevention strategies, and implementing after-school programs and other youth development activities. His experience also includes managing a juvenile diversion program that provided counseling services to at risk youth and their families.
